OPINION - Talking point: Should Boris Johnson resign?

Prime Minister Boris Johnson attempted to hold onto his now loose grip on the leadership of his own party and the country, by offering a “heartfelt apology” in the Commons today. Mr Johnson’s attitude towards a string of alleged gatherings in Downing Street has been so far to deny he broke any rules, but today he at least admitted he was at the No10 garden party that is reported to have been attended by another 30 to 40 individuals – including his wife Carrie.
